Research and Scholarship
Research has always been fascinating to me. My experience with research has been in my undergrad and graduate studies. I have been fortunate to receive the David King Educational Bursary in 2018 and 2019. In 2020 I received the Jason Lang bursary for Academic Achievements. My main focus and research for my Master’s program are “Unfair assessments of diverse groups, including marginalized, racialized, and LGBTQ students in Higher Education.” I am creating a change management plan to help foster fair assessments within Higher Education. This will be completed by May 2023.
I am also pursuing my own research to determine “Does an awareness of cultural diversity increase empathy from an Instructor to a student?.”
