Curriculum Development

Curriculum Development

I have not had the opportunity to be directly involved in curriculum development, however, as a course organizer for NFDN 2003- Medical Surgical in the past.   The Associate Chair asked me to change the names of each lab patient chart.  I was delighted to make the changes, ensuring our clients had  Spanish, African, and Indian names.  I was selected to be part of the BLOOM project in revamping labs and the way we assess our students.  I helped create skills checklists, ensuring they were made from an EDIAR lens.  I am involved in various committees for anti-racism, equity, diversity and inclusion.  In those committees, we have subgroups of curriculum development, and I have been able to share ideas from an EDIAR lens.
